March is one of my favorite months because it's Women's History Month and includes International Women's Day on March 8 to celebrate girls and women. In addition to focusing on incredible women who have moved mountains across the world, it's important to teach children about the gender inequality that still exists. One way I do this with my 2nd graders is by teaching them statistics about girls' education inequality.
